I still hold out some hope with just 3 games to go, however if we don't win the PL this season, where did it go wrong for you?

For me it was the game at The Etihaad our only defeat of the PL Season.
Up to that point we had been invincible and Klopp sent them out to draw with negative tactics. Prior to the 2 v 1 defeat we'd won 9 games on the bounce and headed to Manchester on the crest of a wave having just beaten Arsenal 5 v 1, Newcastle 4 v 0, Wolves 2 v 0 and Utd 3 v 1. Our form was great in the PL and it was an opportunity to effectively
win a 6 pointer over our nearest rival.

That defeat to City ushered in negativity and we followed on with 2 nervous by 1 goal win displays over Brighton and then Palace, followed by 3 draws in quick concession against Leicester, West Ham and @ManUtd.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing I know but it grates knowing that we didn't really try at The Etihaad and had we, we may not be in the situation we are currently in.

Didn't go wrong. It went very right. We have been and are currently brilliant.

We are nearly 20points clear of 3rd place.

Lost one game all season. Our blip if you can call it that is a draw against Leicester and West ham.

Couldn't be more proud of the team.

Whatever happens, it's been a great season, we have played some great football and have commanded and dominated games, showing quality and belief that I have not seen in a long time.

I remember points in games, like the City clearance off the line where it was 11mm away from a goal, if that's go's in and we're 1 goal up at City, we may have gone onto win or get a point.

I remember the Leicester game where the weather was awful and the pitch icy, we just couldn't get comfortable and conceded the equaliser, when a win there would have been that extra distance that might have disheartened City, as they were almost talking of conceding around then.

We could also say where did it go right, we've had some odd events and luck, like the Origi goal against the bitters, the Tottenham winner where Loris drops it, was it Palace where the keeper dropped it also? then the Morrison miss at the weekend when it went off is back in an open goal??? the luck we have had sometimes must have knocked the stuffing out of City and makes me feel it's still not over!!!

Whoever wins the PL now deserves it and whoever comes second has made an amazing challenge and could easily have been PL champions.

It hasn't gone wrong. If we get to 97 points that will be something only one team in 20 odd years of PL football has managed.

Yep. Nowt gone wrong really. If we end on 97 points and don’t win it’s fukking amazing and means City have been even more amazing than that. We can all look back and blame this or that but we’ve had a fantastic season.

I think the main thing is we can do this again and improve/push on in the future, the last PL challenge in 2013/14 always felt it had come from no where and was a one off, with a team build on foundations made of sand, we were leaking goals and our best players were going to leave/retire (and we knew it).

We have a young team and have signed our top players on long term contracts, we will strengthen where required and Klopp will improve the team, so it is in our control, Pep won't stay forever !

...and the Sturridge worldy with virtually the last kick of the game to rescue a point at Stamford Bridge back in September!

I hear you all, however history isn't as kind and this season"if" we go down by a point, will be marked by City beating us at The Etihaad. Our achievements for this season will be forgotten about and history will only remember another 5 year or so Liverpool FC near miss, failure...see 2008/09 & 2013/14.

Its when we do ourselves out of it it bothers me. if we finish this out and win the last 3 but miss out on the title, theres no shame in that.

and win the CL of course wink

I think it was only last night I realised how close we might be to not winning it. I still see the CL as the biggest prize but to win the PL with 97 points against the team with the highest runner up points ever looks like not happening now.

If it does it will be awesome as would getting to a second successive CL final if that happens.

But whatever happens it has been an awesome season and it is a shame it is close to ending even if successful because you just want to keep the momentum going.

Nothing gone wrong as this is the best Liverpool team for ages. Main thing is not to fall away again next season because we have done that last times we were close.
