Suarez was far better in my opinion and Barnes certainly was. If we got £175m I am sure he could be replaced. Our advantage is our front three mane fininho and salah. Losing all three would be terrible but any one could be replaced

Comparing oranges with apples there, and obviously oblivious to the work Salah puts in off the ball, tracking back, tackling, what was it in the Bournemouth game 10 successful tackles, some fans remind me of kids who only can count goals scored. Then there's the issue of players that suit our playing style and are complimentary with their compatriots, something not always easy to find. Seems to me if you wave a fistful of £ notes in front of modern fans they'd sell their soul.

So Suarez was not tracking back according to you? He is the best I can remember stealing the ball from opponents. Barnes I would say I don't remember and the game was also different then.

Winning the league or the champions league is very important at this stage as we can keep our star players from leaving. If we don't win anything players will start handing in transfer requests as soon as RM or Barca come calling. If we have a successful season, the club should not sell Salah or any other player at any price and continue building a better squad.

But with regards Mo, I wouldn’t sell for anything less than a world record. But if we hold on to win the league I wouldn’t sell even for that.

Salah———Suarez———Coutinho

Can you imagine a team with those players all at their peaks

I think that is about right. If we won CL or PL he becomes almost out of reach in terms of ££££'s alone which is why we now get the £42.7m or whatever + Dybala. Next it will be RM offering Bale or Asensio + £100m.

Any such talk is just to sell papers.

If we won a trophy this season I doubt if I would take Messi + £50m to be honest.

If we were to sell him I’d be wanting nothing short of a world breaking transfer fee. We’re talking about a guy who is the Arab and Muslim worlds football messiah. Shirt sales alone of him would be enough to make him a massive financial commodity, nevermind the fact that he holds the record for scoring the most goals in a single season in the premier league and is a proven world class player at the highest of levels. He’s more effective than neymar. Scores more goals than anyone in the prem. and out of the top scorers probably assists the most too. We’d be getting our pants taken down for 175million. £225 million is about right in today’s market. Then I’d go out and buy Mbappe, Isco and koulibali with that.

Mbape is the most valuable player in the world right now, because of his age and he will not come to us.

Juventus have offered Liverpool £44m plus Argentine forward Paulo Dybala, 25, for Egypt winger Mohamed Salah, 26. (Tuttosport, via Mail)

Juventus offer Liverpool Paulo Dybala plus £44m in bid to land star man Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah is Liverpool's leading scorer with 20 goals this season

Juventus want to bring the Egypt star in and partner him with Cristiano Ronaldo

Paulo Dybala has scored eight goals in 33 appearances so far for Juventus

Juventus have tabled an extraordinary offer for Liverpool's Mohamed Salah worth €50million (£44m) and Paulo Dybala.

According to Italian publication Tuttosport, who have the story on their front page on Thursday, the Italian champions are serious in their pursuit of the Egypt star.

Salah signed a new five-year contract at Liverpool last July and the terms do not include a release clause.

Italian publication Tuttosport reported the story on their front page on Thursday

The 26-year-old has scored relentlessly since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017.

He scored 44 goals in his debut season as Liverpool reached the Champions League final before losing to Real Madrid.

Salah is presently the joint leading scorer in the Premier League with 17 goals, with Liverpool second to Manchester City on goal difference but with a game in hand.

He has scored 20 times in all competitions.

Dybala has become an integral part of the set-up at Juventus but has made way as the team's main star following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.

Argentina international Dybala has scored eight goals in 33 games this season.
