It'll be a disaster, but I can't see FSG turning down £175m, if the story's true, so expect a similar PR spiel as preceded the Coutinho sale. All we can do is hope upon hope it's a load of bull. Don't think it would be a disaster for 175m If £175m is being mooted then we go back and look at a couple of other transfers where players were wanting by clubs and the selling club toughed it out. VVD started off at £40m. Coutinho started off at around £75m. We only give a little signal that we might do business and this shoots up to around the £225m mark.

If Juve want him, I’d ask for Dybala plus cash. Then go and sign someone like Insigne.
Would give a front 3 of
Mane————Insigne ———Dybala———
With Firmino, Shaqiri etc to rotate with them. We could end up stronger overall I agree. With our attacking style and personnel we can replace mo with another goal poacher, and one who can score with his right and left feet.

They could well if the likes of Madrid come calling, it's a fact for a lot of top players.
I don't think Coutinho brought us up a level at all. In fact we haven't got close to the league the last 4 seasons and have improved signifcantly since he left, mainly due to the purchases made with the money. Since he left we've gone from fighting for 4th to challenging for the league, not the other way round. No doubt Klopp wanted to keep him, but he was a worthy sacrifice and Barca over-paid.
He was a top player for us and I don't WANT to sell anymore top players, but they'll go at some point.
Phil vs VvD + Allison..? Yeah sorry I mean't to say that selling Coutinho has brought us up a level from fighting for top 4 to challenging. I don't think selling Salah or any world class player is going to help us keep challenging and progressing

General play isn't that good? What player have you been watching? He regularly leaves defenders on their arses and is our top assister too.
But I would take Dyballa and about 150 million for him. Or 300 million. This is record hholder for premier league goal scorer we're talking about, and he'll likely be in the 30 goals range this year. COutinho went for 150, having won nothing and with numbers not even close to that. If Juve aren't keen on that price, shop somewhere else.

Salah is a great player but is he one of the best I have ever seen in red shirt ? Not even close
Suarez was far better in my opinion and Barnes certainly was. If we got £175m I am sure he could be replaced. Our advantage is our front three mane fininho and salah. Losing all three would be terrible but any one could be replaced

I think I am yes Suarez and Barnes could do extraordinary things and win a game alone. Salah is a great midfielder and better goal scorer than Barnes or Suarez but as you have admitted not at their level for sheer talent. I will give an example the West Ham and Leicester games in my view Suarez and or Barnes would have found a way through through sheer talent salah needs support.

Losing all three would be terrible but any one could be replaced Comparing oranges with apples there, and obviously oblivious to the work Salah puts in off the ball, tracking back, tackling, what was it in the Bournemouth game 10 successful tackles, some fans remind me of kids who only can count goals scored. Then there's the issue of players that suit our playing style and are complimentary with their compatriots, something not always easy to find. Seems to me if you wave a fistful of £ notes in front of modern fans they'd sell their soul.

One thing that would be interesting whether he’s better or not would have been to see Suarez in this team. Or Torres at his best for that matter.
But with regards Mo, I wouldn’t sell for anything less than a world record. But if we hold on to win the league I wouldn’t sell even for that.
