Klopp bottled this one.

Agree mostly VVD abd JG are immense. Young Trent needs to pull his head in and get back to basics. He has the talent though.

Has Clyne turned so bad now? Strange. TAA is really struggling

I don't know whats going on with Clyne, he must be the better option than TAA atm based on yesterdays performance.

Watching the match, Arsenal continually out-numbered us on and around the ball. When we had the ball, they tackled and closed off angles in two's and threes and when they had the ball, they were sharper and worked harder and had multiple passing options.

And they were winning most first and second challenges.

I have to think Klopp got it wrong by setting the side up to defend and not to press and attack with any pace.

Shaq should have come on much earlier to provide another dimension to our play.

It would be more concerning if it was happening at brighton away or newcastle etc...you seem to forget arsenal are a top team and always difficult there for any team.
I doubt they could do the same to lfc at anfield...rather it would be the other way around.

Last year we dominated them but drew after mistakes, one from Karius I can remember. This year they played much better, Emery has been impressive, I didn't expect that after their 2 first games, it's not for nothing that they are second to only City on goals scored.

No, that was not Karius's mistake.
That game was played by Simon Mig.

Ok, but wasn't it a GK mistake from Xhaka's long range shot?

Yes. It was.
And after a few game, Mig lost his place to Karius.

I'm okay with him being a bit off form - but previously he has at least helped us to retain the ball high up in the pitch. As it was yesterday he should have been subbed off much earlier, and we could have used Danny instead. At least he scores when he gets a chance!

We didnt press as much this year.
This may be a choice from Jurgen as we dont need to press every game to get the result now.

Previously, Jurgen told the press that we played a different way this year as our team is maturer.
We want to keep ourselves fresh throughout the season.

That's why bobby didnt win as much ball as before.

Besides, I am sure when chances come bobby would score. However, this year, he plays a lot deeper than last year. Open the spaces for Salah. As you could see in the match, Salah moved to the centre more often and Bobby operated more like a AMC.

That's a change of game play.

Playing against a top team away and get a point back. I think the strategy is not wrong.

We have definitely changed our game plan this season with less pressing and committing less in attack. This has definitely improved our goals conceded figure but we are also scoring less. So far it has worked as we are better off in terms of points collected and league position, drawing away against Chelsea and winning against Spurs are great results. Regarding Arsenal, I am not sure, they lost to both City and Chelsea though it was the beginning of Emery's season.

That said, should we be that much cautious after recruiting VVD and Alisson? We are playing with only 3 proper attacking players City is playing with 5, and conceding less. The change looks too drastic to me and feel that we might be missing opportunities. Could we have won against Arses by playing Shaq instead of Fabinho?
