Did you forget about Milner?
Milner was one of our standout players last season and holds the record for WC assists. It never ceases to amaze me how poorly LFC fans seem to rate him! Is it because we got him on a free? Probably...

Sort of all done, what's our weakest link which could define the strength of our squad. I thought/think we are short for a Firmino's cover but if Sturridge can keep fit as he managed in pre-season, don't think it would be a problem. Midfield is much better both offensive and defensive and we couldn't have done better regarding GK. So weakest link is probably CB as we are thin there, I am not convinced about Gomez and Lovren will make mistakes unfortunately. Thoughts?

Yeah a top class halfback would round off this season's recruitment nicely, assuming Stirabout stays fit, otherwise cover for our forward players would be useful. Anyway I think we're stronger this season than we've been for yonks. I expect a challenge for the title and a cup or two.

That's your opinion Spangly...

Most pundits see City as still being much stronger because they have experienced, successful players throughout their squad.
A much better Premier League effort and a trophy would be significant progress for Liverpool. For Liverpool to mount a prem title challenge we'd need a lot of luck with our main players staying injury free. We've strengthened significantly but not to the strength of City's overall squad.

I don't think any realistic pundit or fan believes Liverpool can topple City after being 25 points behind them last year.
