Nothing new according to Klopp, they knew it from the beginning. I don't think Shaqiri was in the plan but Fekir was. I would be surprised if we bought another AM, unless we sell.

Our Squad is starting to look scary.
----------Alisson
Trent VVD Lovren Robertson
---------Fabinho
------Keita-- Henderson
-Salah----Bobby---Mane
Subs: Ward, Matip, Clyne Moreno, Shaquiri Ox, Gini, Milner (Fekir?) Sturridge
That's a boss first 11, but look at the quality on the bench. That looks like a squad that can actually challenge on 4 fronts. Like a squad that could really have a shot at the title. No real weaknesses either. Exciting times!

He said "thank you to roma fans. Time for a new chapter"
It's as close to done as done Again and not to p!ss on anyone’s fire, so was Fekir. I am sure this one will go through...because I said so, before you ask

Origi and Ings offer nothing going forward though Pickles. But other than that they are good?

That is how I see us lining up and the bench looking very very strong. Still have Lallana, Gomez, Klaven, Ings, Origi to add to that but I expect a couple of sales at the end of that list.

What is the weakest link in our team then? Henderson? I’d play Ox over him when Ox is back (though looks like that won’t be this year). Lovren? Could be, would be great to have another top CB, but lovren has done a lot better playing with VVD. Maybe TAA? He’ll be a great player, and on his day he already is but probably the least consistent due to his age.
A very strong team overall.

i actually preferred the money to be spent on fekir/quality am but Alison i guess solves a problem too. My opinion is that the chances that we concede are generally good chances(as when opponents break through our press and find space) and the save ratio will not be high in general. Of course Mignolet and Karius have made mistakes and we needed a keeper who doesnt make as many mistakes but in my head we could have done with a 30m goalie and the rest on another quality AM who can operate in tight spaces against packed defenses.
I'm not complaining though. If we could still fork out 40m for another AM i cant ask for anything more.
Also we need to get rid of deadweight - ings, origi, solanke(loan), possibly gini, either karius or mignolet, markovic

I too like "our" new keeper, but can just see the backlash now, if he concede goals or make stupid mistakes. Just like with VVD, some fans expected him to be a miracle worker and not let in any goals. Whatever happens we should really support our players.

A very strong team overall. We need to sort our how we defend as a team, that's the main issue for me. Having a strong defence is usually the difference as we saw again in the wc, for me Belgium was the best team but France was much more solid defensively. That said, it is a bit different in a league competition and City won it by being very offensive last season unlike Chelsea, the season before. Lovren looked a better player at the WC as he was less exposed than with us because we play a very high line. But it's clear that we have a better team than the one we finished the season with, 175m of purchases should make a difference. In the current transfer window, we are so far the highest spenders...in the world.
