So why did we buy Shaqiri then? The 3 midfielders would be Fabinho, Henderson and Keita with Wijnaldum and Milner to rotate/back up. AM would be Salah, Mane, Ox, Lallana, Shaqiri for 2 or 3 positions which is enough. Our problem is CF unless Sturridge stays fit. So can't see us spending lots on another AM.

I'm not comfortable about waiting until next week for a medical, as Wilkji posted someone else could throw their hat into the ring and try and sign him. Is this Allisson stalling to see if the Courtois to Madrid deal breaks down? if so then we've got to question Allisson's desire to play for us!

SkySports News are reporting that Alisson is due to arrive in UK tomorrow, so probably will be completed over the next few days.

The Echo are reporting that Allisson is cutting short his holiday in Sardinia to sign a 5 year contract and do a medical and an official announcement will be made in the next 24 to 48 hours!

I don't think we need Fekir now, I'd rather we bolstered the back with another decent CB. We are supposed to be giving Brewster some gametime and along with Ox, Shaqiri and Solanke there would be no need to add Fekir. Studge has also stated he wants to stay put, no doubt because he won't get 120k anywhere else so he'll ride his contract out. There's also Origi and Ings still with us so our attacking options are stacked.

Origi and Ings offer nothing going forward though Pickles.

I think we will still move for an AM, as we have let Wilson leave for the season on loan, he was the most impressive coming through, so if we were not going to go for Fekir/Type, I think we would have kept Wilson.
