Maybe If he'd gone with a video of catching practice on the beach in his shades while looking at himself in a mirror with one eyebrow raised , wouldn't have raised so many other eyebrows??

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Agreed.
I have a feeling that we are all going to have to be happy with getting Butland as an "upgrade". He is not my idea of a proper replacement but may save us 5 or 6 points a season as opposed to the level of De Gea, Oblak, Alisson or Courtois who will save you 8 to 12 points.

As he is not England first choice now his price will not have rocketed and may even be a fair bit less than the £40m once touted by the press. Effectively nobody else is in for his services and he was between the posts for a relegated team. If we are going down that route perhaps we should only offer £20m. The CL level keepers are being valued at around the £60m mark so a keeper of his current profile cannot command even half of their fee.

He is still young enough to be sold on at a later date and we can use money from the sale of one of our two keepers, preferably Mignolet, to pay for a good chunk of any new outlay.

Got a feeling though that Stoke are going to dig their heels in on a price given that they are likely to lose Shaqiri for £12m and don't want to be turned over twice, especially by the same club, for two of their players.

We already have Roma asking £60m+ for their keeper as they feel they lost Salah to us too cheaply. Well thems the breaks I'm afraid when you start off with players, wages, values and balancing the books at your club.

No issues for him to have holidays but why post to the whole world thf he is doing. Is anybody excited about this? If not, what's the objective?

There are millions of no marks who do the same day in day out which you could ask the same about. It’s a complete non issue.

We’ll get someone in I would think. Whether it’s the top quality keeper we want or not I’m not sure. I think Migs will be off which is a massive positive for me.

Karius is now a fully fledged pantomime act!

He was spotted p*ssing off to the USA from Manchester Airport the day after The CL Final...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footbal...ague-final.html

no doubt to film that PR video, then some not-so bright spark (could have been him or somebody from the FSG PR Dept')decided a BS trip to a FSG funded Hospital in Boston to give an inconclusive shady diagnosis of a possible concussion that was the reason for the 2 calamities which cost us the CL Final...even though a lot of experts have doubted the diagnosis because Karius made other saves in the game that would not have been possible if he had concussion!

I'm sorry folks we need to get rid of this clown pronto, get a proper GoalKeeper in and keep Ward as backup.

Maybe it is the modern professional Footballer nowadays but Karius takes the "look at me" or "do you know, who I am"? on to a whole new level...he is a Drama Queen we can ill afford...

Looks like Loris has recovered mentally, almost as quick as Sallas badly injured shoulder.

Karius is good enough.Anyone who makes those three goals look like mistakes is talented.
