I love Crouchy. He did a job, but he's not a Premiership winning striker IMO.
The lack of pace was a killer. We could never hit a team on the break with Crouch up front, could we?
Don't think he can do to Vidic what Torres did (but then not many people can!).
Although, I think a lot more teams are defening with ten men behind the ball at Anfield last season, and The Robot was always good at the knock-downs from crosses, and chipping in with some wicked volleys himself.
But I'm more no than yes on this one. Doubt Pompey would wanna let him go, and I doubt that he'd want to sit on the bench much at all this season with the World Cup on the horizon.
