If you're going to accuse somebody of discrimination of any kind there has to be conclusive beyond reasonable doubt evidence in audio, visual or written format or somebody else backing up the accusation!
The fact this is a racial accusation that Holgate has slung at Firmino, then it is a criminal offence that should be handled by The Police who are paid to uphold the law and not The FA! Something we have first hand experience at through Suarez that should never, ever have been tried by The FA because it wasn't in their jurisdiction. Suarez now has a racist tag for his life because of The FA.
Firmino is not going to come out of all this very well unless Holgate admits he lied. Firmino is going to have doubt on his character because the minimum The FA will do is throw this out for not having enough evidence, something they should have done in the Suarez / Evra case because that is 100% what The Police would have done!

I also believe that an accusers character should be taken into account whenever anything like this happens. Evra had previously accused folks before of racism and he actually did racially abuse Hasselbaink & Lampard on video!
The fact Holgate has previously discriminated against someone or persons and there is no evidence in Firmino racially abusing him then that has to be taken into account when coming to a verdict.

I think this as well, which coupled with the original challenge should result in a lengthy ban if proven.

Unfortunately nothing will happen to Holgate over this Firmino claim. The FA will just say lack of evidence and draw a line under it, whilst poor old Bobby will have a big shadow of doubt cast on him in future! It's like being accused of rape, the accuser ALWAYS get's off scott-free!

The next Derby match Bobby should give Holgate the runners and riders at one of the days meetings and ask him if he's going to use it again!

I have a real problem with this.

My best friend had a one night stand with a married woman a few years ago, we watched him pull her in a nightclub, she was all over him and they left together. (Saturday night out)

Anyway, on the Monday the local press have a photo of my mate on the front page stating how he was wanted in connection with a sexual assault. To cut a long story short, he had to leave the area as he was being hounded as a rapist, he's now had to re-build his life in a different area. Following an investigation he got found not guilty and we found out the woman in question had a history of mental problems.

Was there anything in the local press about him being not guilty? Of course there wasn't, was there any punishment or repercussions for her ruining his life through false allegations? No, of course not.

Make of this what you will but the system is so wrong when it comes to matters like this.
