We have also signed players on free transfers like .... Matip, Milner , Babel, Litmanen, Gary Mac, Zenden, Toure & Maxi so..... it's a 2 way thing, we have gained with those, we lost with Can, it's how football is now.

He's a good squad player, but you'd hope we would have better in the team so he's only cover, abit like having Migs or Lovren, decent cover but not regular starters.

Even with Keita coming in we were short of quality and numbers in midfield so he'll still need to be replaced.

And for those that they are saying 'drop him'...........just remember that his replacement would likely be Henderson! Be careful what you wish for...

i would take a player who wants to give 100% to the team rather than one who isnt going to be that bothered

I think Cann does give 100%, it's just that his 100% isn't good enough, just like Solanke, Migs, Karius and Louvren for example.

Henderson and Can, players who give 100 percent but have little talent. They hardly strike the fear in the opposition.

I expected better things from him under Klopp but his performances are no better than with BR. He'll do well in Italy if thats where he ends up.

Yeah, I forgot about our resident 'Seagull Scarecrow'. He should have been top of the list.

At one stage tonight I didn't even think he was on the pitch...he wants to leave so thanks and bye bye Mister Can.Liverpool will hopefully be stronger without him next season.

For most of the game he was really lazy. And a few times he decided to contribute. I don't doubt he can be a great player, but his motivation is zilch at the moment and should not be on the pitch.

My impression is that the club has messed him around on the field during Brenda's days and currently off the field with his contract negotiations.

Also we need a "bullish" central midfielder who wins challenges, stands on the ball and directs traffic, which can can not do or is not bothered trying to do. Unfortunately it appears that it would be better for him to leave.
