So what about the bank loans? The new owners wouldn't splash indiscriminately like Chelsea or man city. They just need to clear debt and build the stadium. Recruit a handful of new players to get back into PL and CL reckoning. Then on, profits for stadia, turnover will allow things to settle down without the need to splash on players.
Isn't that what share Liverpool hope to be able to do too?

The deal may not go through until the end of the year, the yanks have no heart towards our club and will do
what's best for them not us.
Hicks has said that it will be towards the end of the year so my betting is that it will be,
The key will be the date the current loan extension expires. This could mean that next season its as bad
if not worse than last my hope is we have some money to spend in Jan to help get us into the CL top four.

I agree with Woody its not going to go through in time for this transfer window. RBS are going to have put some serious pressure on the Yanks. So I think in that time scale we will lose Gerrard, Masch, Kuyt and possible some others. It will be a case of who to fill the gaps rather than strengthening. The new boss(who ever that may be) will have a very tough start to the season. We are going to have to get behind them and support them I'm sure they (whoever it may be) will be trying their best for LFC, unlike the yank owners. YNWA

Defour to replace Gerrard
Dzeko no cash to buy him
Strengthen the back with Kjaer, Taiwo
Up front we will have to look at experience someone like Raul to support Torres.

he is a very good player is milner - one of very few good english players and with the home grown rule coming in he is the kind of player we need .... i hope you weren't judging him on today's performance as he has been sick all week
