I was merely comparing that cow coutinho's method of conducting himself to the more dignified way that Can seemingly is.
Glad I've sorted that out now. Time for a fresh slice of coconut and a smoke.....separately.

Can won a Confederation Cup medal with Germany and showed he is developing into a powerful, quality player who will be a mega-star for Germany in the World Cup. I think it comes down to whether or not Can can win trophies with Liverpool or not. The lack of serious incoming talent in the transfer window can be seen as a message that he will have to leave if he wants to win titles at club level. Sad reality indeed.

Liverpool transfer news: Emre Can could join Juventus for £9m in January
EMRE CAN could leave Liverpool for Juventus for as little as £9million in January, according to reports. This is what irks me because in todays market he is worth 60m. We need to give him a contract so he can leave for big money so we have money to reinvest in other players.
Back to Back World Champions baby!

They're trying to give him a contract. He so far hasn't accepted.
Additionally, until recently (mid way through last season?) he hasn't deserved a new contract.

I agree, he has been great, recently. And if he can continue play like that, i'll be a shame if/when he leaves.
I just find it absolutely astounding how thick some people are. He's suddenly performing to a great level, whilst simultaneously running his contract down and people can't put two and two together!
The same people are blaming the club regarding his contract situation whilst forgetting that he couldn't even get in the team not long ago.

I don't understand how this has been allowed to happen ?
Liverpool face battle to keep Emre Can: Man Utd and Chelsea eye midfield star - reports LIVERPOOL face a tough task to keep hold of midfielder Emre Can, according to reports in Italy.
The Germany international can leave Anfield for free next summer if he doesn’t sign a new contract with the Reds.
Juventus have been linked with the 23-year-old and are monitoring the situation ahead of a potential swoop.
And Italian outlet Tuttosport say Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in Can.
Bayern Munich are the final side who could make a move for the midfielder.
It may seem unlikely that the Liverpool man would move to rivals United but unless the Reds tie him down to a new deal they won’t be able to stop him.
Antonio Conte is keen to bolster his midfielder ranks, despite signing Danny Drinkwater from Leicester on deadline day.
Chelsea missed out on Everton star Ross Barkley and are still short on numbers in the middle of the park.
Can has been impressive for Liverpool so far this season, starting all three of their Premier League matches. What do you mean by allowed this to happen? Can has been very inconsistent until about the end of last season and then refused to sign a contract. We probably should have sold him last month but not signing Keita for this season meant that we couldn't sell. If he doesn't sign a new contract it would mean he doesn't want to play for us and with Keita coming, we will have enough midfielders. I don't understand all the fuss.

That is a mess that should have been dealt with a long time ago. He may not be the quickest but his overall influence is growing all the time. Will be sad to see him go. Yup. A simple bit of business made complicated.

A simple bit of business made complicated. It was not as simple as you think, he was very inconsistent and even bad last season except probably the 4th quarter of the season, I am sure if we had given him a pay rise, a lot of people would be complaining. It won't be a big miss if he goes except losing on 25m which we have in a way recouped by signing Keita for 20m less we were prepared to pay.
