I don't consider myself a fickle fan, far from it however I am not going to praise Klopp or call him world class until he has actually achieved something with us. I would be also be interested to know why this mentality of if you don't laud Klopp or call him world class you are automatically told you don't like him, not supporting him or you plain and simply don't want him to fail to back up your point. I don't like Klopp or dislike him I am just giving the feller a chance to prove he is good enough and he will only do that by winning trophies which in the past has always been the way Liverpool fans have judged managers. I agree, Klopp should be judged on his achievements, but he has won the German League twice and got to a CL final with a weaker club than the dominant Bayern, playing good football and bringing through excellent players rather than buying the league, but the rest of the league is not as competitive as the PL. Time will tell if he can achieve the same with Liverpool, if he does it will be a much bigger achievement than he achieved with Dortmund IMO.

yes... good correction about Roy. It must've been the next appointment then.
If I'm correct they originally planned to expand the Anfield Road end capacity too... but then backed down after the ticket price protest.

and perhaps just luckier. If there was a financial crisis now and they needed funds do you think they would try and cash in on Coutinho? If yes, they wouldn't be much different to H&G. But they wouldn't need to sell Coutinho to finance the debt so the banks didn't put us into liquidation. Once again, I sound like I love FSG, i'm not, but FSG are positive compared to H&G, even if FSG do have problems, I'd be happier with owners who like football and follow us as a supporter, not as investors as part of the their 'Sports Holdings' or the 'PL Franchise'. You may be right, but I know there are those who believe that things are not as straightforward as may appear with FSG... including with the deal that made them club owners. I don't know enough about it. am sure when they bought the Club there offer was the lowest tender of the three which in itself seems a bit fishy, could be wrong tho. If that's true (I heard there were a few bidders, never that FSG were lowest), that's just good business to pay the minimum you can for the thing you are buying. RBS had no love for Liverpool, they just wanted their loan money back, FSG struck the deal to do that.

Yep, I think they had a 2 stage plan, Main Stand, phase 2 Anfield road, I don't think its officially been stopped, it never had a start date, they could still do it, but after the ticket problems, they were already committed on the Main Stand, I'm sure if there's a line of punters to pay for seats, FSG will deliver them to make the money, they won't cut their nose off to spite their face when it comes to money, but I think as the main stand delivers so much more for corporate where the money is, the financial gains are much bigger there compared to Anfield road.

There was also Eriksen. Who went for 12/13 million. Was a proven player in Europe with Ajax and doing really well against established opposition with Denmark. We skipped signing him and instead bought players like Markovic and Balotelli for higher transfers as well.
Eriksen is an attacking midfielder, a position where we are strongest. Would you have him instead of Coutinho, Firmino, Mane or Lallana? We cannot sign every single player!

At the risk of sounding like some others, it would've been nice to snag at least one of the Shaggy. I suppose we did with Sterling to an extent but we do seem unable to pick em.

Ye I would take erkisen over lallana especially since we spent 25 million on lallana and Erikson went for 12/13. Lallana has done well in recent months but there's so many things around him that remain unanswered. I think Erikson is a lot more consisent. Lallana started off great this season but looks like he's dipped in form in recent games. I wasn't trying to say we should sign everyone but it also shows there is value out there for players. I am just surprised the bad job our scouts and transfer team seem to do because of how many players we seem to miss.
