alright so he's suppose to have won the europa league with an attack which wasn't good enough (yes dispute this if you want it's my opinion, I didn't see where the goals would come from besides coutinho and sturridge) a fairly makeshift midfield, and a makeshift defence.
we should have won the league cup against a team who got the semi finals of the CL (we almost did) but it doesn't count as you quite rightly pointed out

Rodgers first season: 1.61 points per game Klopp first season: 1.60 points per game.
It's official, Rodgers had a better record first season, and to think we were playing a 17 year-old Sterling and Suso on the wings!
Suso never played under Rodgers.

People are already making up excuses for Klopp. He didn't get a full season, they weren't his own players etc etc. The best managers are those that adapt, they don't need 5 year contracts to turn things around, they don't need to assemble their own squads before they can be judged properly, none of this they don't fit my tactic so I won't bother playing them, they just get on with things. Ranieri proved that last season.

Two finals under Klopp, two rows of new teeth under Brendan
There you have it, both managers improved things. Kenny got us to 2 finals in his first season, but actually won one. Rafa got us to a final in his first season and won it. There's no prize for making it to a final and not winning it. What's that quote again "2nd is nothing". A blast from the past. Let the fun begin yet again. Paisley won the European Cup Souness won the F.A. Cup Shankly won the league Evans won the League Cup However we were comparing Klopp and Brendy. Nice to see you picking up were you left off.

You're missing the point. People are slating Brendan by stating that Klopp got to 2 cup finals with the same team so that makes him better. However we have no idea how that season would have panned out as Brendan got sacked, at the end of the day we finished in a pretty similar place in the league as to where Brendan had us at that time. I was merely pointing out that making it to 2 cup finals is irrelevant as we didn't win either of them and we still finished 8th, overall it was a pretty [oops] season.

We were 10th when Brenda left so by law of average you could say that's where we'd have finished. The team looked dead and devoid of ideas as did Rodgers so a change needed to be made. We didn't finish too well and we didn't win the finals but with how the team looked when Rodgers was sacked, we'd have all taken our final position at that time.
Klopp came in and has made us play a lot better. A blind man can see it. The players we had didn't really suit his style of play so we suffered a bit in that respect. It's not making excuses for him just a fact. He's also been questioned quite a bit over his tactics and team selections so it's not like we're putting him on the pedestal that some seem to think we are.
We just need to sit back, relax and see where he takes us. Nothing else we can do really. He'll suffer the same fate as Rodgers if he fails which I don't think he will. Will he win us the league? Who knows. It'll be a tough task especially with the financial might of those above us but I think we stand more of a chance now than we did this time last year that's for sure.

Brendan's first 8 games of last season - W3, D3, L2 - Pos. 10th Klopp's first 8 games of last season - W3, D3, L2 - Pos. 9th
Yeah sure we did well in the cups, no doubt under Brendan we would have bombed and went out early, but I feel we would have finished higher than 8th in the league. Klopp was desperate for a cup win in his first season, Brendan wanted top 4.
We would have still come out with the same end result had Brendan been here instead of Klopp ie winning nothing, but the most important thing we would have had is stability.
Everyone on here knows I don't like Brendan, but I'm not going to pretend that Klopp is the messiah, in fact I actually think we've got him on a downward trajectory and not on the top of his game. I love Klopp's energy and his passion, but I also don't think he gets the club and I'm not about to jump on the Klopp messiah bandwagon just because he touched the sign in a friendly match.

It's Unfair to compare Brendan's first 8games of his last season and klopps first 8games Why not do both of the first seasons games. Both took over squads they inherited and didn't want.

No one is treating Klopp like a messiah. But he has given the place a lift. He has experience at the highest level and that gives us hope. To say we'd have been better off keeping Rodgers for 'stability' is also just laughable.
