haha Alonso was a bit rough, they must of watched a different Alonso that season, the roughest performance that season has to be the one from Gerrard first half in Itanbul, if it weren't for Alonso we would of been more than three goals down, Alonso was the disciplined one who did his job that night...

Rough was probably the wrong word to use, what I meant was that he wasn't the finished article that season. Gerrard on the other hand was unplayable at times during this period - I guess he alone in 2005 would make that team a far, far better squad.

Interesting to see that two players left during the season - Henchoz and our old friend El Hadji Diouf. Shame that Henchoz missed out on a Champions league medal as he always worked his socks off for us - Diouf on the other hand though.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
