agree. I though he did well under the circumstances. Kept his head down and made some runs but the ball wasn't played to him. Poor bloke... was the only 1st team player that had to play the 90 minutes I think. i agree with both. im not his biggest fan but he was the only player able to win the ball in the air (including our keeper) and he was in the box for the whole second half with his hands in the air while the labotomised youth were passing the ball out for exeter throws.
Luis Garcia, He drinks sangria He came from Barca, to bring us Joy He's five foot seven, he's football heaven please don't take my Luis away.

Haha, that pass from Chirivella was almost as pathetic as Bog's flap at the corner!

Maybe I don't understand things and you guys are more knowledgable about football which may be the case. But for me we paid £33m for an established premership player. So all this talk of patience and playing one dimensional methods that suit his strengths (whatever they are) is confusing for my small brain. To me he looks a slow overrated dud. But there again what do I know ?

Benteke is a frustrating player, I don't know why Rodgers signed him, he did not think AC was suited to our style and so why buy a similar player in Benteke ?

... we've seen him create a couple of goals out of nothing... remember the overhead kick? Benteke is a proven goal-scorer but you have to play to his strengths. He will never be a Suarez/Dalglish type of player... so there's no point wishing him to be. Seen him one on one with the keeper a couple of times, he's failed to score. To me he's a slight improvement on Andy Carroll.

That could apply to almost every player he signed sacked Reina and signed Mignolet & Bogdan. Enough said. didn't give Carroll a chance. We were lucky to get £15m-£18m after having made clear to the world that he wasn't wanted. then signed Sturridge, Borini, Lambert, Balo, Benteke and Origi. So far only 1 has been successful. could go on

So far only 1 has been successful. could go on I wasn't going to but then remembered Nuri Sahin. Remember him? Was technically a very decent player... but Rodgers just didn't seem to play him in the right position. Same with Markovic i believe... our £20, winger. And Assaidi? Going back to the strikers, I just remembered Aspas. Absolutely shocking. If he was a foreign manager he would have been hounded... treated like Juande Ramos, Christian Gross. In one sense, Suarez cost us big time. If it hadn't have been for Suarez, Rodgers would have been found out much sooner and we might have saved a lot of money and embarrassment. Oh well... until I remember the next dud signing...

A fit AC is much more influential, his problem is injuries. Benteke is not the same as when he was at Villa before his injury. I don't understand when people say we should play to his strength, he is not that good at crosses else he should have scored once yesterday.
