I thought he did really well at right center back. Composed, well anticipated and winning all the aerial battles.

Maybe he had never been given the chance to shine at his favoured position. Now that skittles is out for 6 weeks, he might cement his place there.

To be fair I though the partnership looked apt better today. I do like skrtle, but we looked more solid without him

First time Leicester have failed to score in a match all season, and the commentator was mentioning how they have managed to score many goals in the last 10 minutes so far this season. I was pleased with how Lovren headed the ball clear at 2 or 3 moments in the match and how he passed the ball. (Even though one pass was easily intercepted by Leicester mid way through the second half)

There is still some sloppiness at the back, for example when Leicester took the long throw in and it hit Sakho almost unexpectedly, Mignolet somehow ended up on top of it, if that had gone in it could have been a different story. But we dominated the match, our gameplan worked, the players restricted Leicester to one shot on target. I think this lessens the false dawn talk, because there is no dawn, we should realize each result is down to our gameplan/tactical setup and performance working in harmony.

The Lovren-Sakho partnership without Skrtel works well in general, and someone else mentioned the amount of goals we give away with Skrtel in the team (which is strange to me because I think Skrtel has been colossal for liverpool down the years). But Lovren and Sakho partnership coincidentally managed a clean sheet in our best performance last season in our 3-0 away win over spurs, so there is good signs.

Lovren is a man reborn under Klopp and let's remember both him and Sakho have just stepped back in after injury and have no time before the next game to ease into it.

Considering the opposition and the above I think they both did very very well.

The thing with Lovren is that he makes he difficult look easy and the easy look difficult.

I have seen him make difficult passes with ease while slamming a hospital 7m pass to a fellow teammate.

I commend his mini revival but he is not the long term solution. We need defenders that are more commanding and less error prone.
