So much more solid that last yr and Benteke suits us.
Skrtel was monster tonight, Gomez is just amazing at 18 -like signing an 18yr Maldini. Coutinho looks ready to take the prem by storm - firimno very very promising...signs are good for a good season. Pity I couldn't watch the game, I'm in the US and was in meetings. I checked on BBC and saw they had 66% possession, I suppose we were well organised defensively then. We played our new signing. The Chelsea bus!

I was expecting a draw but after watching we could have won it. Very pleasing performance. We need similar performances vs the lower teams not only our rivals for top4.

Clyne has been very impressive so far, great buy.
Gomez... at 18 looks like he could be immense, and he's not even a left back?
Coutinho looks like he's still improving, Firminio looks settled already.
Not sure how we'll accomadate Sturrige too, probably drop Benteke. I'm sure DS will offer a few more injuries.
Still not sure what people are seeing in Ibe, apart from potential. He shouldn't start and I'd like to see Marko given a chance further forward. Hope he doesn't become another player isolated from the team.
Squad as a whole is looking pretty solid though. No more overhauls please!
2 tough away fixtures out the way.
