It's amazing that some think a decent player would shine in any position! How would Suarez do at cb? How would De Gea do as a striker? Be sensible!
Markovic hasn't shown much if anything to suggest he's worth the money we paid. But he's been played out of position so how can we judge how good he really is?
When I said any position I did not mean strikers playing goalkeeper or defenders have some common sense but a midfielder should be able to play anywhere up front or midfield or defence wing back etc but no not as central defender or goalkeeper. What the assertion seems to be is marcovic would be a world beater if only rodgers would play him in a position 10 yards different. Sorry that does not work for me. Marcovic has been an abject failure but there is time for him to turn it round but it very much looks like another one in the long line of those we move on after over paying for them
I think you could do with a dose of that sense your self Stan! It might only be 10 yards back as you say but it's a completely different way of playing, a different mindset and if it's not your natural game, then most would struggle.
I get that you don't seem to like him but give him a chance in his proper position (even if it is only 10 yards forward!) before condemning him to the exit door!
