We need an established striker to replace Suarez. We bought players early on last summer but never got the player we really needed - a top striker. I have faith in Brendan to learn from his mistakes and kick on next year though.
What makes you think Brendan:
A) wants a new striker
B) has the funds to buy one
C) can attract the necessary quantity considering our status as a club and his reputation within the game
He has Borini, Lambert, & Balotelli.
Maybe they are only good enough as backup strikers, but with Sturridge injured, why weren't they utilised? Is it not correct that a backup striker can expect to play when the main striker isn't available? Those 3 players equate to £30m of (questionable) talent and £200k per week in wages. What is their purpose if it's not to fill in for Sturridge?
