£50m plus sales is more than enough for what we need. The team needs tweaking, not major surgery

Juve are owned by the Agnelli family, who own Fiat, and are worth around £18 billion, so money is not a problem for them anyway, regardless of stadium naming rights. I certainly wouldn't trust Rafa with £50 million of transfer funds -
his record is a little too patchy over the last couple of seasons, and the overall turnover of his buys in and out of the club is alarming.

To be honest, as much as all of us want him out I don't think it will happen especially as those clowns put the club on sale. They would not want to spend a single cent on the club anymore so sacking rafa would just make them spend more. Unless Juve/Madrid buy out Rafa's contract, he's staying with us for atleast another season whether we like it or not.

i am failing to understand why the pro-rafa camp has tis assumption that a new manager will want to start from scratch ....... did ancelotti start from scratch? i would expect any manager to (rafa or a new one) to tinker with what is here not overhaul it ...... it is the job of the the chief exec or chairman (unsure who is the real power at the club anymore) to sit down, when hiring a new manager, and explain that they will only sanction a tune up not a rebuild

Marko - Can I ask - Like Rafa would you think another manager would need more then £50 million to turn this situation around?

sorry but im not willing to give rafa one more season.i think he's had his time i'll alway's love him for giving me one of the best night's of my life!but i just think a parting of the way's will be good for both him and the club plus i don't think i would trust him to spend a tenner in tescos never mind 50.mill because he'd spend it on hard working no skill cheap options.id love mourinho to take over but being realistic until we get new owners that probably won't happen but at the end of the day im not a rafa basher im just a red who can realise he's had his time

Then anti Rafa group win the debate. I can't have that!! wink

back to how this thread started "Give Rafa £50 mill and one more season" I'd give him this 1 season as long as there are vast sums of money available to him for the summer. Some have said all that is needed is 3 or 4 quality players then the team is complete. Rafa is well capable of signing those 3 or 4 players once he has the money to buy them.

If Rafa & Liverpool fail to make an impact or challenge next season with the 1 more season AND the £50 mil + at Rafa's disposal then I'll hold my hands up and join the Rafa out camp, that's if you let me!!!

Well RedBalls, that is a very good question, and my answer would be...... No. Am sure we could of made a top 4 place easily and made more of a cup run in the domestic cups this season even with this squad of players and the injuries we incurred. I really do think that if Rafa was more positive in his approach to matches, had better man mangement of his players, played players in there correct positions, and basically went at teams and made them think of how to stop us instead of Rafa concentrating on stopping the opposition we would have made this season more successful. A mixture of negative tactics, players out of position and rubbish lineups have been our downfall.

Give another manager a chance and i feel he would get the best out of what we have got, and also throw in £50 million to get a couple of world class players, plus get rid of the usual suspects to make more money for the transfer budget and give the youth a chance, and we would get back into the top 4 and challenge. Then we build on it again the season after.

I appreciate your view. Good man!
