I don't think we're physical enough and thats why when we face teams like QPR and Aston Villa they seem to outmuscle us and give us zero space so it cuts a lot of our rythem out and as a result we played very poorly again in the weekend. We don't have a physical specimen in midfield to win the battles and put all the dirty work in so players like Stevie, Lallana and Sterling have a lot of space to create for our strikers. Its a problem which must be addressed asap.

As for Balotelli, I think if he starts and doesn't perform well again its game over for him and Lambert will start in the weekend vs Hull. There were times in that match where he could of done a lot better with his runs to stretch some defenders but he choose to stand there and do nothing. He must get some runs behind the Madrid defence otherwise there will be no outlet. I really hope for liverpools sake he starts scoring because we need goals badly.

I mean we need to get off his back. Accept him the way he is & support him. Otherwise we shouldn't have bought him.

We definitely shouldn't have bought him. BR should get his ego, regarding his ability to transform players, down. Most better managers better than him did say that it was impossible to work with Balotelli such as Mourinho, Mancini to name a few. I don't know whose idea it was to bring Balotelli, but those people need to be sacked, and this is not even hindsight.

In an ideal world, yes we shouldn't have bought him. But given that we don't have the finances of city ^ chelsea and that we were failing to attract big names, I still think it was good we bought him. However, we needed to deploy him in the correct manner.

BR should have kept him on the bench the first few games and/or played him with a second striker up front, i.e. not put the entire front line burden on him. He was never going to be an aguero or a suarez. Use him sparingly as an impact player and someone for other teams to think about thus making space for the second striker.

clutching at straws reasoning.

He is crap and just goes into the pot of crap that BR and the transfer committee is stirring up.

Its the easy option to blame Mario for everythin. The media are chomping at the bit waitin for him to do somethin stupid. Watching us this season there are bigger problems with us than migs and mario. Number one in my eyes is the midfield. This year our midfield gets dominated by everyone. Every time the ball is cleared it comes straight back at us. An on slot of players decending on the back line forcing them into mistakes and at the same time deprives the men up front. Add to that the service mario is getting as a lone striker...he's getting very little!

As far as our transfer business has gone under Rodgers, Balotelli is not the stupidest transfer we've ever made. Yes he was never going to fit our system but at least he has in the past shown a level of aptitude that can be considered European quality. It wasn't the smartest signing but it made far more sense than most of the people he buys.
