We need to play two strikers ... To give us a chance of scoring and maybe start winning games

And this might get the best out of Mario as well

Why do we need to play 2 upfront if it is only to help Mario?

I'm saying he'll perhaps do better with a partner. Suarez and Sturridge had a good partnership. At the beginning of last season the team was doing ok for a period without Suarez, but having him and Sturridge in the game definitely changed things. Unless the issue here is that Mario just doesn't gel with the team or isn't trying hard enough..Hard to say

I don't disagree about him being a poacher. Yeah, he's not like Suarez, but Sturridge style have play will probably come in hand with him getting a few goals. Will be interesting to see how they play together.

crazy dress it how you like, mario may get one or two if we change the whole team to suit his game. But truth is he's still an average player with an average scoring record (minus pens) that does not suit our team. He's andy Carroll with an Italian name and a bad attitude.

I think Rodgers never really wanted Mario or as he said himself last resort. The club probably inquired about other strikers but the wage demands were probably too high for FSG. We seem to be happy paying players good money (DS £150k, LS £200k) but only after they have proved themselves at LFC.

That policy needs to change because top level players will simply opt for another club that are offer high wages. We need to pick a no.1 target and offer them the best deal we can afford. I honestly believe that's why we keep missing out on players because of the performance related contracts.

I personally think it's a good thing to make players prove they're worth the stupid money they want. I know it's early days yet but look at Falcoa on £300k and not scored yet. I'd want a hattrick a game for that money. I understand it makes us lose out on players though.

Sometimes you need to rip up the rule book though. Especially after you've sold one of the best players in the world.

Ian rush though worked his socks off and he did not wave his arms about with every misplaced pass. I don't recall him setting off fireworks in his bathroom either
