Also, you have to keep in mind i am bias when it comes to Markovic, but i honestly believe he will come good. I have seen him produce the goods on many occasions, so i know he has the ability and skill already...its just a question of time before he starts showing his class for us.

I think Tadic is an excellent player, i was saying we should buy him 2 windows ago. Fantastic buy for Southampton that. I am not sure who is better but in Serbia, the general concensus is that Markovic is the better player of the two. I think he is lacking a bit of confidence at the moment though, he didn't take his chance to shoot last night when he clearly should have. He did however make some very good runs off the ball and had a neat one two with Lallana, i think it was, and so on. Again though, something i don't understand is BR playing him on the right.
Markovic is much more effective on the left cutting in or even central, something i mentioned last night in the shout box. I remember stats about Borini showing that he too is twice as effective on the left, something he showed at Sunderland too, yet BR insists on playing him on the right, and now, it seems he is doing the same with Markovic. My best impression on Markovic is when he came on against City when we were trailing and true, he was on the left.

I went to the game last night (can't remember whether I mentioned it before ) but for the first time had a close up look at llanna and marcovic. Llanna seemed ok he was in the game and trying albeit he does look a bit limited e.g I don't think we have the next Suarez here. But marcovic looked lost other than one little run he seemed out of the game entirely to me. Early days of course but I was expecting more given the write ups and what we paid pre season I was expecting far more of an impact. Hope it's just a bad day of the office and we don't gave yet another flop on our hands Based on his career up acquisition Marko was a gamble and I don't think suited to the PL but he is young, very quick, fits the system we played last year, and has a lot of time to prove himself. Some players do take a while to get used the PL. Lallana on the other hand will always be okay, maybe a trick will win us a game some time but we will never dominate a midfield and will never consistently win us games in my opinion (again based on his career up to acquisition). He had his most amazing season ever last year and is 25/26 I think. He's never gonna repeat that season in my opinion, every season will be worse than that, if nothing else cause Liverpool will never play around him like Southampton did quite often (where he was a big fish in a small pond) as we already had and have better players than him (much better). Thus whilst Lallana already looks okay, and will be okay, its an incredibly average signing that isn't of the required top 4 quality. And his start at Liverpool is proving all of this right (I said it over the summer), though he has a lot of time to prove me wrong I grant you. Marko on the other hand has the potential to really be something and has a chance to be better than he has been before. Buying both of them was really stupid, and we dramatically over paid for both of them. Similarly neither were the best we could have got for that money as we probably could have got both even without champions league football. I'm just depressing myself at how poor our transfer business was ONCE AGAIN under Rodgers. So much money wasted. Didn't BR say that there were a lot of top clubs who were after Markovic and he chose us because of BR's style of play? By the way, I did a poll the next day the transfer window closed and the majority here said that we had a very good transfer window, going to try to dig that up. Hindsight is a great thing to have So your poll that I didn't even see and if I had done would have ignored means my comment that some people said this over the summer is invalid? Sorry vish. Try again buddy, but this time harder. Nothing to do with hind sight.

I do hold out hope for marko, he is young and incredibly quick and I have seen him do something special on a number of occasions (prior to Liverpool) so here's hoping it's just a matter of settling in. Borini however has been played on the left on many occasions (relative to how often he played) the season we bought him. And did not perform. And he did okay there for Sunderland but not great.

You said you did a poll then proceeded to make conclusions about the majority of posters. This is false, your poll is unrepresentative as many people will have either not seen it or ignored it. It gives you no information about the majority of people on here. The fact that you think it does weakens confidence in other things you post.

Borini played about 10 games in his first season for us before he got injured if I remember rightly? Hardly 'many occasions' like you say.
