REALITY CHECK, well here is a reality check for all of you saying we need to get off our moral high horse. It is not us who need a reality check, but those of you who think this is just one of those things. Going around biting people is not "reality", it is savage, Neanderthal behaviour.
Imagine if you went and bit your colleagues at work...you would get reeled off to a mental institution.
REALITY CHECK- RUNNING AROUND BITING PLAYERS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT JUST HAPPENS, IT IS DISGRACEFUL AND BARBARIC. The fact its our star player doesn't make it any better. No excuses.
This is my point exactly, complete over the top language about an incident. And the work analogy is just icing on the cake. I'd imagine if I went around elbowing people or tackling them or pulling them down by their shirts or talking about their mothers or any other of the countless incidents that happen in football I'd be in pretty serious trouble. So let's not bring that into it cause you can't compare the two.
My point remains. All the outrage is unwaranted and over the top. Should he be punished? Yes. Is this behaviour unacceptable? Yes. Should we try to do something to stop it? Of course. Do worse things happen that people gloss over cause they happen so often? Hell yes.
I'm not saying we ignore it cause hey it's just a love bite and it doesn't injure anyone. I'm just saying give it a reasonable level of attention not this mass hysteria.
