Barcelona offered 6m for Agger, so I can't see us getting £10-£12m for skytel.

I think if we got 10-12 mil for him I'd sell him. He would still be 3rd at best in my list of centre backs. I would have Toure certainly ahead of him but I'll wait to see Sahko play a few games before I make a serious judgement on him
He had a great game last week but he doesn't look entirely comfortable on the ball and he has been bullied by physical forwards in the past. Skrtel would be sold even below that, he is on high wages after extending his contract last year. Whether he should be dropped or not will depend on how Sakho is performing, starting in training. I cannot see Sakho sitting on the bench after we paid so much for him, he is our most expensive defender and also the most expensive BR signing. we are not really sure if he is the MOST expensive defender we have bought. johnson was bought for 17m pounds and the valuation of sako is anywhere between 14m and 18m pounds. it all depends on what you believe ( the fee was undisclosed)

I must admit, at first I thought it might be a problem to have two left footed central defenders playing alongside one another, but when you consider how many right footed defenders do, it shouldn't really be an issue. I guess it's just one of those things, sends alarm bells ringing at first but when you actually consider it, it's not really a problem.
It'll be a shame to see Skrtel go, especially if Coates is going, which I believe he should, his Liverpool career has been an absolute nightmare.

Kjaer playing on the left.

As we've only just signed Sakho it gives Rodgers a chance to bring him on off the bench without him kicking off. Sakho was a sought after defender, we will have promised him a place in the first team, he's been repeatedly described as our 'marquee' signing. 18 million is a huge chunk of our budget, it will reflect on Rodgers massively how he performs. Skrtel probably will start against Swansea but even if he plays out of his skin again Sakho will be taking his position shortly. You do not make a marquee signing to warm your bench.
I think there were a couple of deals to take skrtel away but they didn't come to fruition on the final day and Rodgers has one more defender on his hands than he was expecting.

I depends how much left footed they are, some of them can hardly use their right foot to kick a ball, but it's true that most central defenders are right footed and most of them play together.

You don't exactly need a perfect touch to put the boot in do you. I find it ridiculous how people go on about which foot a defender favours. If you ain't a wing back, it doesn't matter. If you are so one footed that you can't tackle with your other one, go home and shoot yourself in the face...
