The highlighted comment has me wondering if the remaining transfer budget is based upon Suarez leaving.
Did the so called failed transfers not happen because we didn't want to spend first?
Did the other transfers only happen because of the players sold?

I wish the transfer window would shut already, or we buy someone that excites. I'm still wanting to know who the player was that was meant to excite the fans last summer. At least the Jan signings surprised me, and hopefully they will continue into the new season.

FSG haven't spent a penny so far. I am interested to know where all the money is going from all these commercial deals we have been recently signing.

Well that's not true...take a gander at Stato's thread.

So far, this summer, the club's net spend is £3.3M in terms of transfer fees.

As for the thread...

If the club is aiming to self-fund the stadium expansion, they're hardly going to be able to maintain the same level of spending and budget on players. Plus, it would be counter-intuitive to say we have a great amount of money to spend even if we did, because teams will only go and raises prices to try and take advantage...

I think the only reason we haven't anything else about transfers is because not all the clubs selling big players would want to do so early. Mkhitaryan could have come in and everything might have quietened down but we missed out on him. I certainly don't think we've seen the end of the incomings. And I think at least 2/3 will come in irrespective of Suarez leaving.
