Nobody's making anything up. I simply asked a question in my post. Maybe read it properly, I actually said are we a selling club and I was pointing out that that is a danger in the future. You want to think everything is rosy under fsg? Good for you. I know what you're saying and I don't necessarily think it will be rosey, very skeptical, but can see the positives when there are some, something the anti FSG don't do, they should get credit where and when it's due. If they turn out gangsters, we'll have to wait and see, but hanging on waiting for it to happen is a little counter productive. The signs are good I think anyway!!

Yea agreed on that. There are some real doom and gloomers but as an older fan I'd say a lot of us have grown tired and untrusting of [oops] owners

There's no problem selling a star for 50 million torres if you replace him with 2 excellent players ie suarez 22 (was it) and say rvp 25m. The issue is when you sell your star and replace with kids (to develop).....I really hope we don't become arsenal....better take our lead from utd...sell ronaldo then acquire established quality players de gea (imo a good keeper) Valencia, young, kagawa, rvp added to developing your own talent

All our big players signed long contracts this summer, along with our top youngsters.
Suarez, Agger, Skrtel, Sterling, Suso, Wisdom etc
Agger 25m??? Didn't happen, would have if we were a selling club??!!!
Where's the problem???? Sometimes I think our fans go out of their way to find something that isn't there yet to be upset with!!!! That's assuming the good old newspaper were telling the truth.... No, if we had of sold him or anyone we'd be a selling club. all our top players signed contracts. What the papers say are irrelevant This makes a bit of a nonsense of your earlier post given that the Agger story was all over the papers.

Agger story was in the paper so it mean we are? or are not a selling club??? I have no clue what you're talking about.

We are now a selling Club, what the bigger Clubs have done and will do to us regarding buying our best players is exactly what we used to do to other Clubs in the 70s and 80s as in taking there best players, swings and roundabouts. You either match the big Clubs pound for pound or you risk falling away from the top table and when that happens bigger predator Clubs will circle around your best talent, just the way of the game, Clubs like United, Chelsea, Madrid, Barca and City and not so much Arsenal are top of the food chain while we have fell away...

Well you are prepared to believe that there was a £25m bid for Agger because it was in the papers yet in the next post you tell us the papers are irrelevant.
So which one is it, or do you believe what's in the papers when it suits you and ignore them when it doesnt?

I don't know where you got "I believed a bid took place" from me writing --> (Agger 25m?) And if I did believe that information, it wouldn't of been from a paper, presuming I got it from a paper is your mistake.

The rumour of a bid was most certainly in all the papers, but it was denied by the club that was named as being interested. No bid, no decision to make.

I think We are so used to our players wanting to leave recently it would be nice to see actions on the pitch aswell as signing new big contracts, which infact mean nothing really. Commitment on the pitch means more there's no lying or agents involved
