I think him being behind drogba at chelsea and him not playing much of a role for spain with them using fabregas in the false number 9 role has done him no good, his confidence seems down

Yeah I can see Walcott being more likely. Torres for 8-10 I don't see as ever happening considering they paid 50 for the lad

I'd guess they would be looking to recoup close to 20 mil for him but I wouldn't pay that IMO

Yeah as much as I'd like him back that is based on him finding his old form, I think it would be less of a risk to go for Huntelaar

I imagine Abramovich will still be smarting at what he paid for him (it was him that bought him, remember...not AVB)and I doubt he will be released any time soon.

That said, Roman is a true maverick and second-guessing him is like peeing into a high wind...gives you a warm feeling but really doesn't accomplish much.

I heard somewhere else today that Torres is looking for a move back to anfield, who knows if its true...a "reliable" source according to the guy.
Really not keen on Walcott, can get far better players than him at better price, with less wages. He is SO inconsistent, has the odd freak game where he manages to cross the ball or shoot on target! I think Sterling is a better player.
Anyway doesn't get away from the fact that we need a PROVEN goalscorer!

Walcott is a good finisher. As a winger he is massively inconsistent because his final ball is pretty poor but up front I think he can do a job

I think Huntelaar would be the ideal choice for me, I think Chelsea are the likely suitors for Falcao? Torres may be used as some leverage for the deal, back to his old club Atlético Madrid

Been reading the bbc gossip column and apparently we are linked to anzi striker Lucina Traore! Don't Get that one, I think I would rather have Carroll back!

On Walcott, He has shown himself to lack the football intelligence to play an interchanging front 3 role. Wrong choice if thats what you're look for.

On Torres, Rodgers has already said he has no intention of signing him. And Chelsea will not sell without buying 2 top strikers and I can see them buying at most 1 in january.

I would like to say we need a prolific striker. A fox in the box. Does not necessarily have good pace. Good examples are Jermaine Defoe and Javier Hernandez. Both are not first choice strikers but when they play , they know where is the back of the net and they can score and be at the right place at the right time in the penalty box. I'm not saying that we should get them but someone in their calibre and characters. In the front 3 that Liverpool is playing at the moment , we have Suarez and Sterling who have pace. Just need someone whom can finish the chances that are being dished. How i wish that Fowler are still match fit because he can really fill up the poachers position

Just My Thoughts
