At what point do the governing bodies decide that we need to bring technology into football?
Their arguments against using technology are so narrow minded it screams insecurity! Once we introduce technology at what point do we draw the line?? Are they afraid that games could be officiated by robots in their lifetime?
Sorry but as a fan of other sports as well as football, I can't understand why it is not in place. Rugby league, cricket, tennis...all sports that have benefited from technology. I am not just talking about goal-line, it would have taken next to no time at all today for the ref to ask the 4th official to check if Suarez was in an offside position.
These bad decisions are starting to become more costly than ever, especially with the amount of money at stake nowadays .
Football needs to move with the times!
I thought they had agreed to introduce goal line technology a few months back, and were in the process of evaluating the different systems available??
I think it's a good idea, but the trouble is it won't stop there. Once goal line decisions are sorted then people will be demanding some kind of technology for offside decisions, and then penalty decisions, and then free kick decisions.......
Yesterday Gerrard was moaning that a throw-in decision is the reason that everton scored a goal. Do we need technology for EVERY single call in a game?
