I think we can clear this thing up in a nushell stanley, answer me this question, what would you say if John Henry turned around and said I will continue to be a cheapskate, cut costs and give the manager pittance in transfer kitties but I have a " FEELING " which I cant explain, that we will rise from tha ashes and be a top Club again, just going on your philosophy now, would you be happy to accept that then like you want us to accept your take on it.

If Henry said that I would not be happy. But I am not happy now with Henry or FSG. But we are making some progress slowly and I have faith in Rodgers thats the bit I can't explain. Joe I am really struggling why you bother the I support my local club does not wash with me there plenty of local things to do in Liverpool its a great city and why waste your money on a global brand increasingly distanced from ordinary people in the city?

I watch Liverpool because I enjoy it as a sport and part of that is the aspiration for success. You seem to have given up the ghost entirely and following from some obligation which is nuts what obligation to you have to a Boston Millionaire 3 years ago who you have never heard of?
well maybe thats because you are not a proper football fan of the city than stanley, not being disrespectful to you there because if you can switch yourself off so easily and just focus your attentions onto somthing else than you have never really been bitten by the footballing bug in the City, because I certainly could'nt no matter how unhappy or how much I disagreed with things within the club. I like the way the Club is trying to play football and what Rogers is trying to put in place, I know it will never take us back into the Champions League but for me it's not really important, I have seen everything I need to regarding European Cups and League titles e.t.c. so winning for me is not so important. I just want a well run Club with owners who have a genuine feeling for it, exciting football to watch for my season ticket price and the Club to return to it's local roots instead of being a global franchise, deep down I know it will never happen but I live in hope just like some live in hope of winning the league again or playing in the champions League, in the real world we both have probably as much chance of getting what we both want which is none .

A football fan for whom winning isn't important
There's a first.
And your questioning Stan's support?

If winning isn't important then stop whingeing when we dont win.

Sorry, cannot understand this as I am not a local fan and about 13 hrs flight away from LFC. Are you saying watching LFC is like watching a movie and you just want to be entertained watching a good movie/game and the result doesn't matter?

Joe I live and work in Liverpool and have watched (by which I mean at Anfield itself) for 45 years. And been to most of the european finals, FA cup finals and travelled all over europe. I have had a season ticket for 24 years.

If I am not a proper fan then so be it I could not have done more in my life to be one.

You're not being realistic and not accepting that Liverpool with NEVER be back to the top again, so you're not a real fan. You need to work on your pessimism Stan, you're losing your touch.

As I said earlier, to say that LFC will never get back to the top is just crazy! I seriously do not understand that at all! As SP said early, events change by the day or the week or the hour even so I believe we are on the rise with an excellent blend of youth and experience! If we add 2-3 more top quality played then we will have a bit more depth and a stronger first 11 which would hold us in good stead!

I think we are all aware it won't happen straight away (getting back into the top 4) but we are building the foundations of a strong and successful club at he moment!
