I had very low expectations for BR's 1st season in charge. Unlike many, I wasn't asking for a cup, a title challenge or even european qulaification. I said at the very start of the season that I would be happy as long as didn't finish lower than Kenny took us; 8th. Plenty of people said I was aiming too low - many of those have since changed their tune and withdrawn any kind of expectation or target for him for some reason. If kenny was sacked for an appalling 8th place finish then how can BR not be judged if he does even worse? new players, 'new system' isn't enough of an excuse I'm afraid. I'll still be happy if we finish above 8th but at the moment I'd be very surprised if we did.

Improvement is arguable though. We got to two finals last year. So would you take 6th and no finals?

League place matters less between the European and relegation spots - and getting to a final is worth some plaudits.

I dont know how anyone can say winning a trophy is not better than finishing between 8th and 12th which is where we will finish anyway, surely the whole essence for every single football fan is to see your team win a trophy, thats at any level, that's why I question every Liverpool fan who defends Rogers for playing these weakend teams in Cup competitions in order to cement our place in probaly 9th this season, cant be fans, just cant be.
