So what would be an acceptable year for a new manager to avoid the sack in your opinion or is it just a case of sacking all that try until Rafa gets the job?
Don't be silly.
I don't know how long is the 'right' amount of time to persevere with a manager - there are a lot of things to take into consideration. One thing that Brendan must do though is to start getting results. Kenny was quite rightly sacked for an abysmal season and any manager should treated the same way and measured in the same way. All this talk of needing a lot of time to get used to the new system is just Brendan's way of buying himself time...
Tottenham have got a new manager and new players and they haven't sunk well below where they were last year
West Brom - ditto.
Swansea - ditto.
Why are LFC fans so gullible as to accept these excuses of needing time? Yes, i know it's a 'journey' because brendan said so - which is just another way of saying "leave me alone for a year or two no matter how bad things get". BR has cleared out what he would define as deadwood and brought his own players in. The only things that have changed is that we have a much dodgier defence than last year. He hasn't re-invented football and our 'new way of playing' is nothing more than passing the ball out from the back to avoidthe risk of losing possession when you play it long. So far I wouldn't call that a success.
Unless we're in a relegation fight I don't think BR will be sacked just yet. But he has to start getting results. The club needs more than 'good possession' or 'attractive football'.
