if rafa was given 80m to spend in two transfer window we would have won the league +1 Reason being is that he wouldn't have had to buy his 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice of player! He would have been able to buy his first choice!

Rafa did sign some good players thought to be fair. He did sign duds too to be fair also. never said he didnt sign good players he did but he wasted millions on total dross as well , even roy hodgson bought a good player in raul meireles and scouted out suarez , not sure about dalglish second time around though i think brendan is ahead of him with joe allen . I think you're clutching at straws. Are you talking about the same Roy who signed konchesky for 4m, Poulsen for 4m and Joe Cole at 90k/week? And while we generally agree that Allen is a good player, at 15m it's not a bargain like rafa's Alonso at 10m. And Alonso is a better player than Allen. While I like BR and I hope he succeeds, I think it was a mistake to waste 11m on Borini.

Trust you to stick the knife in  come in to the f**k off thread its good fun. but its the truth sorry iof you dont wish to see it , yes benitez bought them very good but its not his legacy not by a long chalk , his legacy is aquilani, voronin, dossena(record transfer) to name a few . Rafa made one dud signing in Aquilani and he's being branded a failure. Unbelievable. What about his other signings that MORE THAN paid off Aqua's transfer fee? We made more than 50m from Torres and Alonso alone! To set the record, voronin was a free transfer and we eventually SOLD him. That's a profit! Dossena was an italian international and we paid 8m which was the market price for him. He eventually left for about 4-5m which was not bad. So stop clutching at straws faz!

best to agree to disagree mate:) facts are there he was given money to spend big money well more then dalglish, hodgson and rodgers has had all together and 0lenty from H&G as well as moores . Complete and utter garbage along with most things you write about the man. Reading most of your comments on Raffa only exposes how truely ignorant you are on his time as manager and the disgraceful shenanigans of the director's of the club in which you love to pin on Raffa, cause it's easy isn't it? The man at the front. If there was one ounce of factual truth about what you say then one could acccept it, FACT IS there ain't pal.

yes i do dislike him because he started the clubs decline that were still suffering from moaning and blaming everyone every week , he gets credit for his early years , but when he start fighting with his staff , players and owners it was a long slippery downward slope Hold on ,are you saying that he should have kept quiet about hicks,gillete and purslow?I personally would think the man gives a sh*t about the club and what was going on and thats why he was making noises.He could have just as easily kept his mouth shut and collected his money every week.

He mightn't deserve as much credit as he gets here, although he has been our most succesful manager in 20 odd years but he certainly doesn't deserve the amount of abuse he gets either
