I know just because we have a new manager does not mean we will improve. But nor does it mean we will not improve. FSG clearly saw the failings in the last manager and through a carefull and unhurried recruitment process sought the man they believed could take the club forward. Your position longmoorlane is that it is ordained we will never improve. I think we will simply because we have to. At stake is the future of the club and the hundreds of millions Henry staked on the club.
I dont think it is a case that we have to, does'nt every Club in the League have to then if you are basing it on that, there are no guarantees we will improve, we are just hoping and as we all know hope and reality are two entirely different things. I like Brendan Rogers, I really hope he can turn the Club around but it's highly unlikely because football at the top end is dominated by money and money is just what we dont have when we are trying to compete against bigger Clubs at the top end. I really dont think FSG knew what thye were taking on when they bought the Club as in the amount of money which is needed to compete at the top end, dont forget we needed a new stadium also on top of that, I think they are opportunists and seen the chance to buy a famous old football club at a knock down price and being business men bought it, knowing that they could always sell it and get there money back if they required probably at a profit.
