I saw this a few days ago actually and was not amused since we have done a deal with them earlier. I think our deal with them is not the shirt sponsor, its something else, just a partnership I guess, but United got the big deal out of them.

this expected i hate to admit it but we are light years behind man u as far as marketing is concerned we doing better under fsg, the main problem is as a team we are even further behind and we dont look to be progresing thi is why we cant get the mega deals that other clubs get.

We will continue to lose out on sponsoship until we win titles and champions leagues again. In my opinion we are just trading on our name and we only do that for so long. The reality is FSG are probably overachieving on sponsorship at the moment. Sponsors want success they don't want their product associated with losers.

weve been living off past achievments for far too long now if talk to any resonable fan from other clubs they all say liverpool are a team of history boys maybe we need more foreigners like rafa brought in that arent star struck by the clubs stature. as much as most people on here wanted rafa out hes the only manager in twenty years that nearly brought title bk and won the champs league .

this is why I say stanley we no longer rival Manchester United, they blew us out of the water years ago and when you see deals like this taking place it just hammers home how far behind we slipped, we can never compete with them on that sort of level, never. I fully agree with you about living of our past name tho, this is the point I make about us no longer being a big Club in the sense of the word but we are a famous Club, there is a difference.

I thought both deals were a bit different? One being a club partner/sponsor and the other agreeing to sponsor the shirt in replace of AON when the deal runs out?

It is strange that both clubs within a week or so took on Chevrolet though.
