we just love sport and just playing anything that's a sport its how we are

i disagree with that. footy is our national sport, its not diversity thats the problem , its xbox's and crap coaching.

Ireland is pretty diverse in sports. Gaa hurling soccer rugby all dominate depending on what part of the country you're in. Boxing and horse related would be our main solo sports I'd say.

We should stop playing top most sports and make up some new ones so we can win

The states is probably more diverse: baseball, basketball, AM football, hockey, footy, lacrosse, volleyball, golf.

Even though the US is WAY behind when it comes to footy, they are still the undisputed best at baseball, basketball, and AM football, and are among the best at volleyball, golf, and Hockey. I don't think England's problems are numbers of people playing the sport, it's the the way the pl and academies are set up.

I don't think USA is among best at volleyball (beach volleyball yes) and hockey. More USA sports: Tennis, Track and Field, Swimming, Gymnastics, skating, skiing & snowboarding, cycling, billiard, bowling.

And I suspect USA is getting closer to England at football.

Only if Ireland's top sportsmen are horses can horse racing be classed as a solo sport!

Top tennis player is also Spanish(till today ) haha
