Want to say nothing is decided it's looking good for redeveloping Anfield but the council are totally against the idea, and are unhappy with the Guardian article

Upcoming world class players IMO for 2014 WORLD CUP:
K-P Boateng, Gotze, Sturridge, Kroos, Lucas Leiva, Hummels, Kyriakos Papadopoulos,

Would be nice to keep footie at Anfield, but won't there be far less seats??

In fairness some of the houses behind the main stand are an absolute disgrace and need removing for safety

I see. I'm guessing we will have 60k max as many people have mentioned there is not a lot of room around the stadium. 60k is good but more would of been better.

I hate this already. My mates dad was hit with a compulsory purchase order back in the 80's. It had been the family home for 50 years. Didn't want to go and fought it in the courts. Ended up losing the case and a shed-load of cash. Only got market value and a few quid for the upheaval.

The stress killed him a few months later.

When they paid somebody to do a survey a few years ago when it was first mooted, we were told the most we could get in was 55k. I think if they did make it that big they will be opening a huge can of worms as it's definately going to block out some peoples light if your going to add an extra tier somewhere as it will make the roof higher.

I simply dont understand the reason's behind building a stadium if they are to build one that is which I personaly dont think we should in this climate. I say this because the area of Anfield is a densley populated residential area and simply does'nt have the infrastructure of roads or transport to sustain a stadium as it is never mind one that will go any bigger than 45k, utter madness to think of extending or building a stadium in the Anfield area.

I suspect they will redevelop Anfield and use part of Stanley Park to create space for new surface car parking complete with additional facilities etc.

Does the club even own Stanley Park? or is it still part of the council?
