Scouting? emphatically, hell no!
Ambassadorial? with his attitude and demeanor it would be a PR disaster

No, he just needs to retire and buy himself a season ticket.

What a surprise!

I find that disgusting to be honest, Kenny was brought back to the club by Rafa. Did he wind you up like this then? When he wasn't in the spotlight?

?? Which bit do you find disgusting and why? I think my points are very valid - you've made no attempt to suggest a role for him or to argue that he'd be suited for any of the roles which I have mentioned. Please debate properly..

i dont know why comolli was blamed for the signings, i think everyone on here gets the idea that kenny is a big fan of british players, we can see this from his prior club where the same buy british players cause i can trust them mentality was shown. nothing is wrong with wanting british players but when they are far from being top of the line he should of looked somewhere else. kenny signed off on every signing made i remember on a interview he said he wanted downing and comolli wanted young. the biggest flops of this season were kenny initiated signings, enrique suarez coates were good signings. If sacked comolli based off the results of the signings kenny should be held responsible too, it isnt fair. i just hope that this interview was just to keep the calm among the fans to make it more noble when he steps down in the summer.

didn't anyone notice this hint:

Is Damien's departure a reflection that the ownership group were unhappy with the return on player investment?

I would say we certainly have the resources to compete with anybody in football. I wouldn't want to get specific about any particular decision that's been made. We feel there is enough talent on the pitch to win and, as I said, we've been dissatisfied, as most supporters have been, with the results so far. But we're also talking about the future - we have a strategy we need implemented and we felt Damien was probably not the right person to implement that strategy.
-----------

this is a direct message to Kenny, no excuses

Yeah, I just said something similar in another thread. I think that's a message alright. My feeling is that Kenny won't still be our manager come June.
