Commoli sorted the deals out so he had to go - I'm surprised it took so long. My concern is that kenny thinks commoli did a 'fantastic job in bringing the players to the club". Really??? no one else was after them so why did we pay 10x the going rate? DC did a very poor job and as he isn't to be trusted with the club's money there is no point in him staying here any longer.
Now, regardless of the fees involved, kenny's choices of player have been abysmal - If DC can't be trusted with the money then Kenny can't be trusted with the selections. But as there are only a handful of games left I can see why the board might wait until summer before announcing that kenny has left the club "for family reasons".
I was listening to a radio phone-in abotu an hour ago and some crank suggested that kenny be moved into the Director of Football role - We'd be back to square one!!
Anyway, DC's departure is the best bit of club news I've heard for over a year. Come on FSG, keep going...
Come on. You're more intelligent than that. Do you actually expect him to come out on the eve of an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley - where some of those very players will be playing - and say anything
BUT that?! He'd be stupid if he DID! Some of those players will no doubt be looking at themselves today and questioning whether their performances (or lack thereof) have contributed to his sacking. They may feel they let him down, and a man has lost his job because of that. It's possible their heads could go down because of that. So in response, for the manager to come out and say that he chose all of the players and that Damien did a good job - yes, REALLY, it
is the right thing to say, in my book.
