I am not too happy about seeing more turmoil at the club. The timing suggests that Damien was forced quickly into his decision and regardless of what we think of his performance I would of thought end of the season would be a better time. That said I understand that a new appointment would need time to bed in and progress potential transfers etc so this maybe the reason as to why now.

I have said all along that FSG were very proud of their new management structure and if they feel it is failing the chop should have fell equally across many heads not just Commolli's. Unless certain aspects of his job were just not satisfactory and he had to go.

On the Kenny comments - Martin Jol also complimented Commolli when he was sacked from Spurs and it was not until later when he too was sacked did he blame commolli for buying players not wanted.

- this is all based on the assumption that FSG instigated the change not that Commolli did actually want to go back to france. possible but unlikely.

Commolli is a lot like Sven, everyone knows he's dodgy and a bit rubbish but they keep hiring him anyway. the chap has more lives than a cat. He didnt exactly set the world on fire at any of his previous clubs so good riddance but FSG could be about to clean house. buckle your seat belts!!!

Everyone knows that Rafa wouldn't work alongside a director of football - is the path being cleared for his return....?

I think the fact that FSG made ca public point about a written report explaining the seasons progress (or lack of) I would have though that is standard practice in any club. So why the big publicity and hoo ha ? I think that was FSG laying the ground for major changes at the end of this season Commoli is the opening salvo. I have worked for American companies and can assure you people they don't fool around when they are not getting the progress they want.

That's true. We are some cold-hearted b*stards! Not really surprised to see Comolli's head roll. I imagine that it will be the first of many after this stinker of a season. Hopefully the clear-out includes playing staff as well.
