The single '?' means "at most 1" - I don't have the stats of who scored once in the Carling Cup. Own goals scored by the opposition in the same competition are missing too.

Didn't Carroll get a goal vs Exeter in early rounds of carling cup and also Gerrard has at least 2 carling cup goals ( 2 penalties against city). Could be wrong

I think all the players have had enough chances to show whether they're capable of contributing to the goals tally... the evidence suggests we're going to have to bring in players who can score rather than just wish that Downing, Henderson, Adam etc... start chipping in.
