SUAREZ SORT OF SAYS HE'D MAYBE LIKE TO PLAY FOR PSG. ISH. IF YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT THAT WAY
Ah hell. Right, let's try and deal with this relatively quickly.
Luis Suarez has been talking to a French TV show, and he said the following:
"I would love to play at the same club as him (fellow Uruguayan Diego Lugano).
"Yes, I could come to Paris, like lots of other clubs. There are lots of big clubs with such a reputation who want to build a strong team and Paris are one of these teams who buy to strengthen their side."
Now, the first thing to say is that these words were (we think) orginally said in Spanish, which was then translated to French, which was then translated to English. And not in context, which was a general point about Lugano, rather than a discussion of his potential transfers.
Obviously though, this has become big stuff in the papers, with The Sun reporting that Suarez 'dropped a Liverpool bombshell' as he 'eyes PSG switch', while The Daily Mail says he 'courts PSG move.'
Sure, he probably could've said 'no comment' or 'I'm never ever ever going to leave Liverpool' but as far as we can work out he was being polite in the interview as much as anything, so let's not get too excited about it, eh?
