Apologies if this has been done, I'm new so feel free to delete it if it has.

The team's playing poorly and many people are blaming Kenny's tactics. I'm still confident we can turn this around, we've had some unfortunate distractions and Gerard/Lucas missed half a season each. However, the new signings, all on great form last season, seem to lack confidence and what continue's to concern me is the many different formations/starting 11's we're seeing recently which is resulting in the players not seeming to know where they're playing and who they're playing with.

This isn't a Kenny bash as I love the guy and i hope it's not a negative topic, just curious who would people want to see brought in the summer as manager IF we don't get 4th and IF Henry decides it's time for a change?

Is there anyone better out there or should we stick with Kenny for another season to continue the 're-build'?

Rafa? O'Neil? Moyes? Mourinho? Jurgen Klinsmann!?

i still think KD shud bring rafa bk to the club, as his main scout and right hand man, football advisor or wat ever u want to call it,
[oops] comolli off.

rafa no's how to scout top quality players(most of the time) and rafa no's how to beat certain teams, by using a certain formation and with rafa bk at the club, maybe....JUST fcuking maybe...TORRES might come back...even on loan.

a.) Why on earth would you want Torres back after the absolutely awful 12 months he's had down in London? I just can't see him ever getting back to where he was, no matter who he plays for. Something very strange and very wrong is going on inside that boy's head and I don't want any part of it.

b.) Managers that could replace Kenny: Jurgen Klopp, Paul Lambert, Brendan Rogers, Unai Emery, to name but a few. Mourinho is out of the question, but there are other managers out there that could have us playing good football whose tactics aren't 20 years past their sell-by date. Klopp is among the best in the world at bringing through young, unpolished gems (which would help us develop our excellent youth), the two Brits are great at squeezing value from transfers (Rogers bringing in Vorm at Swansea, Lambert scouring the Championship for players ready to make the step up), and Emery is a tactical genuis.

c.) As for bringing Rafa back, I think there is a huge element of "the grass is always greener" here. Yes, he had almost immediate success when he arrived, but by the end I was absolutely glad to see him go. We can blame the Yanks all we want, but the fact is that his negative tactics cost us games and his transfer mistakes cost us money. He's a superb manager, but he's had his chance with us. Kenny deserves a little more time (although if he fails to bring in a striker in January then there are serious questions that need to be asked) but if he does have to go, I say we start fresh with a young up-and-coming manager, rather than bringing someone back based on nostalgia when their last gig was a complete and unmitigated disaster.

if it would happen in the future, i would only bring someone that is really better and had more than one success. that list is slim.

Murinho is possible after 2 years. wished for O'Neil before Kenny got the job. VanGaal has a proven record in Ajax, Barca and B.Munich, he can improve the youth system and a good skill trainer as well. not afraid to play talented youngsters.

i dont think kenny will get the sack.but it wouldnt suprise me if he stepped down at the end of the season if we havent finished fourth or fallen way short of doing so.
i also wouldnt be a shock to me if the club were to re-employ Rafa.mainly because theres not alot of managers out there who could do the job,but also because he's still living localy and knows the club.
i'm not saying this is what i want to happen i can just see it happening.
