i still think KD shud bring rafa bk to the club, as his main scout and right hand man, football advisor or wat ever u want to call it,
[oops] comolli off.
rafa no's how to scout top quality players(most of the time) and rafa no's how to beat certain teams, by using a certain formation and with rafa bk at the club, maybe....JUST fcuking maybe...TORRES might come back...even on loan.
a.) Why on earth would you want Torres back after the absolutely awful 12 months he's had down in London? I just can't see him ever getting back to where he was, no matter who he plays for. Something very strange and very wrong is going on inside that boy's head and I don't want any part of it.
b.) Managers that could replace Kenny: Jurgen Klopp, Paul Lambert, Brendan Rogers, Unai Emery, to name but a few. Mourinho is out of the question, but there are other managers out there that could have us playing good football whose tactics aren't 20 years past their sell-by date. Klopp is among the best in the world at bringing through young, unpolished gems (which would help us develop our excellent youth), the two Brits are great at squeezing value from transfers (Rogers bringing in Vorm at Swansea, Lambert scouring the Championship for players ready to make the step up), and Emery is a tactical genuis.
c.) As for bringing Rafa back, I think there is a huge element of "the grass is always greener" here. Yes, he had almost immediate success when he arrived, but by the end I was absolutely glad to see him go. We can blame the Yanks all we want, but the fact is that his negative tactics cost us games and his transfer mistakes cost us money. He's a superb manager, but he's had his chance with us. Kenny deserves a little more time (although if he fails to bring in a striker in January then there are serious questions that need to be asked) but if he does have to go, I say we start fresh with a young up-and-coming manager, rather than bringing someone back based on nostalgia when their last gig was a complete and unmitigated disaster.
