they paid 24 for bent what makes u think hel come for 15 , if liverpool have to buy him it will be somethn around 25+ which is an absolute waste . i think luuk de jong is a good option , 10 mil coz his contract ends in a year .

I think we need someone with good feet and vision who Suarez feels comfortable laying the ball off to, I feel that he is trying too hard and keeping the ball too long sometimes because he is not confident in getting a return pass if he lays it off.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has his eye on young Swansea City midfielder Joe Allen and after a lengthy scouting assessment the Anfield manager is said to be considering making a move for the Welsh international.

The pint sized 21 year old has been in fine form this term and has managed to adapt well to life in the top tier and shown maturity beyond his years as he helps pulls the strings in the Swansea City midfield.

The Carmarthen born youngster has become a pivotal member of Brendan Rogers' side and he would be loathed to lose such a talented asset but may fear that Allen may be tempted by the thought of a high-profile move to Anfield.

Though Liverpool brought in a number of central midfield options in the summer, including Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson, Dalglish and director of football Damien Comolli are plotting moves with the long term future of the club in mind and have been scouting youthful talents they feel have the potential to become part of a new generation of talent at the club.

Allen has already racked up over 100 appearances for the Swans and as well as being a part of the side that secured promotion from League One to the Championship the intelligent midfielder was a crucial member of the side that triumphed in the play-offs to make the leap into the Premier League.

Dalglish has scouted Joe Allen and believes the Welshman could be a very useful addition to his Liverpool squad, and even though the Swansea City man is tied to a long term contract the Scot will look to make an offer for the central midfielder either in January or more likely next summer.

not sure what to make of this. why would we want to sign a CM? his young but we have lots of young CM players, shevely, suso, hendo, coady etc

For those of you that were wondering whether we would make a move for Cahill, well, the BBc and Bolton boss Owen Coyle have confirmed that Bolton have agreed a fee with Chelsea for Gary Cahill! That should put those rumours to rest. Personally I am glad we didn't buy him, I think he is overpriced.

The price is undisclosed, what do you mean he is overpriced. Besides because his contract is expiring the deal must no be that high. It is actually a very good signing for Chelsea, he is a top player.

Over-rated definately, also I do not understand why you would buy him when you have Alex who is a much better player.

Apparently they are also going to buy Hulk for £80+ million madness..........

I'm hoping we buy sooner rather than later in this transfer window, at least we don't have any high profile players that could be poached at the end like last year lol.
