However that is strategic and probably too wide a subject to get worried over at this point. I was concerned over the competition for 4th spot but an unexpected bonus has been Arsenal’s demise but I am sure they will come back before the seasons out and will be putting pressure on us. Forget Everton or Stoke once the season has a few months under its belt they will find their level. So what is my main concern? Spurs! they did not just win because our tactics were poor or our team was woeful they actually were better than us not a bit better but a lot better from the first minute to the last. They have a very strong squad too. Its Spurs we need to watch and on Sunday’s evidence we are the underdogs by some way.

Stan I would not worry about spurs, the always beat us then draw the next game against westbrom or something. Are you forgetting we had 9 men on the field for the majority of the game and played horrible. They looked like Barca but it was obvious we made them look a lot better then they are. Arsenal are still the team to beat for 4th

are you serious? all calls were correct apart from Adams yellow cards. Watch the first yellow, why would you give a yellow for that? and the second yellow adam wasn't watching parker, even the commentators said it was very harsh. Ref did good but got yellows totally wrong against Adam.

Spurs are much to fast for us. On a beautiful day at WHL with the main guns healthy the Spurs are better than us. Thing is its football so healthy beautiful days arent plentiful. Bale is a force but he is also injury prone. The Spurs come on like Lions but usually hit a wall and go out like lambs. Who wouyld have thought last Sep/Oct that LFC would actually past Spurs with 2 weeks left in the season. Yes I know Spurs past us after the win at Anfield but my point is they can fade and probably will fade. We have a great chance to top 4 this year, most likely 4 but you never know. Even Man U are playing this season like Chelsea started last season but Chelsea won no title last season did they.

Exactly what I mean KRG. Spurs are known to shine when the encounter is between a good side but will eventually fade. They have a good team with Parker and Ade in their books like I said last week but our main rival for 4th is Arsenal despite their bad start. Spurs will have a tough game next week and will drop many points.

The difference between Spurs and Liverpool was the midfield and the flair whenever they got the ball. We were terrible. Forget about the flair part. We cant even pass right. We need someone like Modric. Having Gerrard back is a positive thing but to me the way Gerrard play will be like Van Der Vart for Spurs. Add another midfield player with flair in the team and we will be on the way. For now, we just lack that sort of player in the team. And not forgetting another proven striker to partner Suarez.

The proven striker you are looking for Afad is Kuyt. I just cannot understand why Kenny cannot keep the Suarez-Kuyt partnership going, it has never failed when ever tested. When Gerrard is back, stick him to the right or have Hendo there and Kuyt upfront and we will have a solid team.

Being played off the park is such a cliché in football it’s almost meaningless but this is literally what Spurs did to us on Sunday

My concern is that of the summer that we’ve replaced quality player like Meireles, Aquilani, even Joe Cole with inferior talents such as Henderson, Shelvey and Adam. I don’t see any manager who is a good judge of a player sanctioning those moves

My concern isa that Daglish – much like Rafa and Houllier before him – is too stubborn with his team selections and selects players regardless of current form. Henderson again is the best example. The guys obviously young but of the six games he’s played for the club he’s only looked good in one. And yet he’s the first name on Kenny’s teamsheet – whereas the likes of Dirk Kuyt, Bellamy and Maxi Rodriguez – all of who are considerably better – get overlooked again, again and again

Until Stevie comes back into the team the player who makes things happen is Suarez and you get the best of him by playing him alongside Kuyt – not Carroll – who he has yet to form an understanding with

And Skrtel at right back makes little sense given that Flannagan – despite a poor performance in the season’s opener – performed adequately there last season

so my main corcern - probably the management right now

I have to agree snakeye,at the minit kuyt and suarez have to be top dogs,I suppose kenny has to try carroll otherwise hes surplus,he tried him off the bench for impact, that didnt work then he tried him on first and that didnt work, his confidence may get shot down further sadly but needs must at the minit and maybe he will up his game and come on as impact player only, unless injuries to others happen. it is a jigsaw at the minit, when our defence are up and running it will be interesting to see if we can all gel together.

Lain if we are playing Carroll ahead of Kuyt because we feel his confidence might suffer then I believe we have problems. Suarez needs Kuyt and Rodriquez because he links up so well with them. I don't care whos confidence suffers as long as the team is doing well and getting results. Get the best team out there and its clear Kuyt should be starting upfront alongside Suarez.
