Capello has come out and told him to lift his game if wants back into the England team because he sees that Carrol is not fit and apparently guzzles to many beers!!
I hope and think he will work out with a little more time but he does need to improve his fitness. We also play a different style to what he is used to so it will take some time for him to adapt.

Another thing with Carroll is he gets no respect from the refs. Guys run at him and bounce off him but he gets the foul. The refs seem to let other teams rough him up on the free. That goal he scored vs Sunderland should have counted. The rules seem differant where he is concerned. He doesnt get a fair shake.

I think we were in a similar situation when we had crouchy back in the day. A lot of fouls went against him basically since he was taller. Racists in my opinion.

Until he proves his capability, fans will keep bashing him. I dont blem em. They paid big money to be entertained and to watch the team play. If you are the weakest link in the squad no matter who you are, you'll get hammered alright. It used to be Lucas and now its AC. Millions of eyes are watching him almost every weekend. Theres no running away from it. All i can say is, until he proves his critics wrong, he is [oops].

it doesn`t matter what he did last year or before that, he has to perform in an LFC shirt to get his place, at present he doesn`t deserve one. I don`t care if he`s on the bench all season, his price tag is irrelevant. When the time comes that saurez and Kuyt are not doing it then fine throw him on to do something different but at present he stops the team playing well.

The Carroll bashing is all based on so few games - it's hardly much criteria. Andy didn't have a storming preseason - but only Aquilani had any sort of form across all the games. Yes, he had a bad game against Sunderland and a ho-hum game against Exeter - but so did 6 or 7 of his team-mates. He still managed to put away a decent strike.
I really think most fans have ADD these days. Mark my words, Suarez and Kuyt will have a bad game where they can't break a defense down - and the tune will change quickly. Speaking of Kuyt - no one slows down an attack more than Dirky boy - his first touch is usually so abysmal that it goes out of play or ends up back with the opposition. Look at Charlie Adam's goal last week - Kuyt's touch was so poor he had to run backward to retrieve the ball. He got lucky with the defender backing off Adam so much. Kuyt is nothing like Forlan.
Carroll bashing has become really trendy - look at the headlines today. Capello basically said that Carroll, Lampard, and Defoe need to play more and get better match fitness - and then come all the headlines about AC's booze and lifestyle. Capello's comment about Carroll's drinking was months ago - but the gutter press had to dredge it up and give it a fresh sheen. Capello's claim to only play in form players is a joke anyway.
I don't think it is 'tendy'. I think his poor showings have just deserved it. Kuyt might be slow and at times lose the ball. But you could plainly see against bolton how his far superior movement to Carroll opened up spaces and helped with counter attacks. Right now Kuyt looks like a much more intelligent player than Carroll and is hitting it off with Suarez. Carroll has it in him, he showed it at newcastle, I just don't know where it's gone.

+1.
like i said b4, lets all judge carroll wen he is 100% injure free and fit, kd gives him a run of games and watch him score.
at the moment, i wud like carroll to come off the bench and get his fitness up, as he is not fit, to start games, i think.
with bellamy signed now, caroll can take a couple of months to get match fit, i think KD will not rush him back into the team, just cuzz of his price tag or other reasons.
wen the players are fully fit, our striker force cud be ie bellamy carroll saurez.

Forlon doesnt do a whole lot when he isnt playing for the national team. He was run out of Madrid. Nice to see Kuyts 1st assist vs Bolton was overlooked. The one where he jumped over a Bolton defender to get to the ball that Boltons goalie saved off Downing and set up Henderson. No doubt Kuyt has bad 1st touches and isnt really a winger. He played much better than Carroll last season and so far this season though. I wish Carroll had half Dirks heart.

i think he has some sorting out to do in his head. if they can manage that at lfc and in the england camp he may be a terrific asset. there's no point in bashing him, we need him to come good, otherwise it will be a waste of money. i dont understand people laying into him, its a bit counter productive.
