i feel the same too.. basically he is working on tight budget....
we didnt always get to buy our 1st choice.. we always end up buying the 2nd or 3rd best due to budget. constrain.

The fact that he has to sell players in order to buy new ones shows he has not been backed properly. He hasn't always got it right with transfers but has improved the team each year. There have been a alot of positive changes round the club since the end of last season with Kenny coming back and changing the youth set-up,hopefully we will see the benefits for these changes soon.

agree with ged ,we have to get used to the fact that nando won't be here after this season.
the facts are we have crap owners and a crap manager and both are trying to blame each other and gain media points. the owners are vultures , thats all you need to know about them. and rafa has his team ,he is 5yrs here and his midfield is like an anti -football persons type of midfield. rafa is another houllier, he hates the game, all the players he buys work hard(babel aside) and do what their told, he hates individuals(xabi) with skill and would prefer 10 kuyts,he has signed workhorses and is crap ,we need to get anew manager and then new owners hahahahahahah. you again. Alonso was nobody before Rafa. Rafa contributed to Alonso being the player he is. He has been 60% funded i think, he needs more backing to bridge the gap

Top player playing from atletico Bibao? what hogwash! Madrid or Barca, nobody even gave a [oops] who alonso was back then, Its Rafa that made him the player he is.
Same like Rafa has contributed to Gerrard development. He has thrown money and it has failed yes, but he has made profits too:)
Rafa Raaaaafa Rafael Benitz ..)

Gerrad has improved each year under Rafa and can play in several positions because of him. Alonso wasn't a household name before he came here. Even Torres and Johsnon have said they came because of Raf and how he can improve them. Think they know a lot more about football than you emp. stick to playstaion

its not his jobs to make profits, its his job to get a team playing and he stumbled around stevie g for about 3yrs until finding a spot for him If i had a manager, and he kept making losses. Id kick his tiny Zola Butt out. My manager makes a profit, and my team points tally has increasd every year over the past 4 years. I would be grateful:)

Let's look at the currect squad and how well Rafa has done Reina-best keeper in the premier league if not the world. Johnson-Englad right back and one of the best attacking wing backs in the game. Carragher-one of the few players to still be at Liverpool since Rafa took over.Experience and will die for the shirt Skrtel-hard man and good tackler-even plays when he is injured Agger-one of our better backs going forward and great shot on him-let's hope he stays free of injury. Insua-came through the youth system and is improving with each game Aurellio-great free kick taker and consistent performer when not injured. if you look at these defensive players and keeper-we have only spent more than 7mil on Johnson. ---------------

reina is brilliant as is johnson but we paid top dollar for him so you have to expect it. skrtel and agger still have a long way to go imo and i still think we need a brilliant centre half. insua has potential lets go around the pitch mash-defensive midfield player-cannot pass forward lucas-nothing midfield player cannot do anything kuyt-ex-striker-no skill-no balance-works hard -not a winger playing as a winger yossi--good skills spent his whole childhood cleaning chimneys and is very weak as aresult torres-class ,was classs when we bought him, starting to turn down due to crap players and crap style of football..paid top dollar stevie-was already here, class and now probably hates rafa You are so biased, it takes the fun out of debateing, becasue you only see it one way. For example you look at Masherano you say - Cant pass forward! I mean WtF??? why dont you look at his tacking and winning the ball aspects????? Brilliant Centre half?? what crap wtf??? Skretel we broke the transafer record of LFC for a defender to get it, i suggest you get the guts to tell Skretel in is face that he still learning and aint ready for the position. haha.
